President Says He Supports Troops. Leaves Out Congress.

Reported by Marie Therese - July 26, 2007 -

On Monday evening July 23, 2007, the Democratic Presidential candidates met at The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, for the first ever CNN YouTube debate in which ordinary citizens got to ask most of the questions via self-produced videos uploaded to YouTube.com and preselected by CNN. The following day, President George Bush spoke at the Charleston Air Force base in South Carolina. During his remarks, the President said that America's soldiers had every right to expect the support of their President and Congress. However, in the next sentence he pointedly omitted any mention of the Congress. Was this a slip of the tongue or partisan politics? Video below the fold. You decide.
