Republicans Launch New Smear Campaign and Within Hours, Fox Jumps in to Help
Reported by Melanie - July 25, 2007 -
Daily Kos reported yesterday (July 24, 2007) that Republicans are launching a new smear campaign against Democrats by attacking Harry Reid:
Senate Republicans are preparing to take aim at Majority Leader Harry Reid over the August recess for being 'all talk but no action' and helping drag the Democrat-led Congressâ approval rating to a historic low, according to a document distributed to caucus members.
Surprise, surprise! Fox didn't waste any time jumping in to help. Roy Blunt was on Fox's "business news" show yesterday (here's video). After Fox aired a clip of Harry Reid saying, "The American people already know that President Bush is the worst president we've ever had," Blunt went on to say:
I think the problem that our friends on the other side have is they're not, they can't, they aren't getting any work done...this has been a congress without any accomplishments...this congress is producing nothing...the congressional approval numbers are at an all-time low.
Comment: Wonder how many previously-scheduled guests they had to cancel in order to rush Blunt on. Of course water boy Cavuto didn't bring this up.
