Outrageous Quote of the Week @ July 21, 2007

Reported by Chrish - July 23, 2007 -

Last week's outrageous quote poll ended with a tie, between Bill O'Reilly and the deluded trio of Cavuto, Bowen and Payne. Since it took three apologists to equal the votes for "The Centrifuge," let's give a hand to Bill O'Reilly, who said "So, there's joy in far-leftville. The Bush-haters have won a victory. Iraq is not going to become a functioning democracy anytime soon, and Bush will have that on his resume forever." See what drivel the FOX News Channel is airing after the jump.

Option A: "Well, first of all, I think this is the Bush rally. And, you know what Alexis, you brought up the war but here's the key. The markets around the world have exploded since March, 2003 when the war began. It's not about the war winding down. You know what it's about? It's about peace and prosperity around the world.

"We're over there fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. We're keeping terrorists contained. We're keeping a certain calm that allows the rest of the world to enjoy comfort and security. By the way, the adoption of American-style capitalism, that is one of the keys to this thing. So, if anyone's going to take a bow I think Bush has to take a bow, not just for the US economy and the stock market, but for the global economy as well." Charles Payne on Cavuto on Business, 7/21/07

Option B: "Blasting them out of childhood. Blasting them into an area where they can't process." Bill O'Reilly explaining what would happen to 5 year olds if they learned the word "uterus", The O'Reilly Factor 7/19/07.

Option C: "If you want to fight poverty, you push free enterprise. That is the best eradicator of poverty and that's what people like Edwards will never understand." Steve Forbes on whether or not the government should be in the business of fighting poverty, on Forbes on Fox 7-21-07.

Option D: "This is hate of the worst order. It's like the Ku Klux Klan. It's like the Nazi party. It's no different." [...] "These are people who are wishing people with whom they disagree, ill. That's who they are. That's what they do. That's all they do." Bill O'Reilly lying about DailyKos website on the O'Reilly factor, 7/16/07, 7/18/07.

Option E: "Obama was a winner because he picked up Oprah's endorsement. That just about closes the deal. My understanding is that Oprah gets what she wants, and if she wants him to be president…" John Gibson's winners of the week, 7/20/07.

Option F: (MM) "You want people to do this on a case by case basis, but the effect of that is you've got this situation where people will hesitate, and that's the problem."

(RA-C)"Look...if this is a frivolous lawsuit, it will get thrown out and these people will not have a problem. The problem is, if you pass a law...."

(MM)"No, no! Stop. Stop. Because we're talking about the effect it will have on future 'John Does'." Michelle Malkin refusing guest Rebecca Aboud-Chedid a chance to offer the promised "other point of view" on the O'Reilly Factor 7/20/07.
