Outrageous Quote of the Week @ June 23, 2007

Reported by Chrish - June 24, 2007 -

Last week's winner with 49% of the vote was the chauvinist Capitalist Pig himself, Jonathan Hoenig, who said this of women:

"I don't think any rational woman would ever want to be President. That's what's still mystifying me about Hillary. ...It's not a question of her talent or her ability. I just think that - you know, being President - being Commander-in-Chief of all men - for me it goes against a woman's basic value of hero worship."

See below for this week's most ridiculous ramblings.

Option A: "We're conservative and in talk radio, not because we want to be, because the American people demand that people like you and I go after people like Alan Colmes." Radio talk show host Bill Cunningham on Hannity & Colmes 6/21/07.

Option B: "Can it possibly be that greed trumps national security?... I’m not talking about just greed for money. I’m talking about greed for power. And I’m telling you, the Democrats are just as vulnerable on that issue as anybody else… because the reason for, the reason we have been unable to do anything is because we’ve had Republicans who see massive immigration, both legal and illegal, as a source of cheap labor and Democrats who have seen massive immigration, legal and illegal, as a source of voters. That’s the greed I’m talking about.” Congressman and presidential hopeful Tom Tancredo (R-CO) on Hannity and Colmes, 6/21/07.

Option C: "Here's the funny thing Neil. I've told this story well over a 100 times on the radio, on TV, in the last three years. I was going up the elevator with them (Hillary Clinton and Barbara Boxer) -- this was about three years ago -- to vote and they were yelling and screaming and complaining about right wing radio..." Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) over a chyron that read, "Who is Lying?" on Your World with Neil Cavuto 6/22/07. Inhofe changed the occurrence from "going over to vote the other day" as stated on on The John Zeigler Show 6/21/07.

Option D: "I don't mind being criticized with facts, but if you call me a racist or dishonest, I'm coming after you." Bill O'Reilly, to whom facts are like kryptonite, during a speech at the National Society of Newspaper Columnists conference 6/22/07.

Option E: "Glad you're here. Thanks for coming. You all enjoy yourselves. Make sure you pick up all the trash after it's over." George W. Bush to NOLA musician Kermit Ruffins (and the Barbecue Swingers) at a function on the White House lawn 6/21/07.

Option F: "That's enough. Miss Swanson, we'll bid you adieu." Bill O'Reilly to guest Robin Swanson as he cut her mic and camera, the O'Reilly Factor 6/20/07.

Amended 6/25/07 12:42pm :Numerous posters have said that the Bush quote, option E, was NOT directed to Kermit Ruffins and the band directly but rather to the crowd in general. Please consider that when voting.
Note: I took the quote from the FOXNews website, from which transcript it appeared that Bush was directly addressing the musicians, and I have not seen the video. My apologies for the misunderstanding. I'm not going to change the poll at this time. Please keep this poll in perspective!
