Fox's "Premiere Business News" Program Devotes Itself to that Democrat, Paris Hilton

Reported by Melanie - June 8, 2007 -

Well, it should come as no surprise that Fox's "premiere business news" program, Your World w/Neil Cavuto, was, for all intents and purposes, wall-to-wall Paris Hilton today (June 8, 2007). Cavuto was so into it that he didn't even take his first commercial break until the bottom of the hour.

Cavuto hosted Ann Coulter who claimed that because Hilton is rich, she's getting special treatment and being made an example of by being sentenced to 45 days.

Several roundtable participants thought she should not be seen as above the law; that Americans need to trust that everyone is treated equally, so her sentence was just.

Cavuto worked in that Hilton's a Democrat.

Greta Van Susteren was in the courtroom when Hilton was ordered back to jail and said she looked awful.

Bill O'Reilly said Hilton, "made a fool of the judge and the system," and applauded the sentence. O'Reilly and Cavuto talked for a minute about a comment John Edwards made yesterday when asked about Hilton. O'Reilly said, "John Edwards is a phoney," and that Republicans hope Edwards gets the nomination because he'd be so easy to beat. (Given how much time Fox News has devoted to attacking Edwards of late, I'd say that's a big lie.)

Aside from Cavuto joking that the stock market went up today because Hilton was going to jail, there was no business news whatsoever and alas, another week of "premiere business news" came to an end.
