Roger Ailes: "The candidates that can’t face Fox, can’t face Al Qaeda,”

The New York Observer reported that last night at the Breindel Awards in New York, Roger Ailes had this to say about the Democrats who refuse to participate in a FOX sponsored debate.
“The candidates that can’t face Fox, can’t face Al Qaeda,” adding " And that's what's coming."
TVNewser now reports that a FOX News spokesperson issued a statement explaining Ailes remark.
"Mr. Ailes was repeating a comment made to him by many friends of his who are Democrats and are disappointed that their party is not currently debating on Fox."
