Breaking News: Alleged Airport Bomb Plot Thwarted. 3 Arrested, 1 Still at Large.

Reported by Marie Therese - June 2, 2007 -

As the result of a months-long investigation by the NYPD and the FBI, three men have been arrested in connection with an alleged plot to blow up fuel lines at JKF International Airport. According to CNN, this bust was the result of really good, dependable law enforcement, using traditional techniques. The plotters are from Guyana and Trinidad and had been under scrutiny by law enforcement for at least six months. The public at no time was in any danger. Switching to FOX News, Catherine Herridge reported that the leader of the group is a former employee at the airport and is an American citizen. One of the group is a member of Parliament in Guyana. Herridge pointed out that authorities have indicated that the plot would have been impossible to carry out.

Here we go again. Another "aspirational" fantasy plot by yet another home-grown "cell" of Muslims angry about Bush foreign policy, uncovered by good police work and revealed just when the Bush administration has had a bad week.

Just a few minutes ago, Catherine Herridge finally uttered the magic words "Al Qaeda", even though at this point there is no evidence that Al Qaeda is involved at all.

There is an FBI press conference scheduled to begin shortly.
