Memorial Day Greetings

Reported by Chrish - May 28, 2007 -

Since last year's greeting another ~1,000 Americans have lost their lives in Iraq. It's hard to believe we're still there, and have been promised an indefinite occupation.

Our hearts go out to the troops overseas, their families and loved ones waiting for them, and those yet to be sent to a dangerous and uncertain fate.

But mostly we honor those who have lost their lives in this tragic, unnecessary war and all wars before it.

As we gather with friends, neighbors, and family, let us be grateful for our freedom and mindful of the responsibilities we bear to ensure it.
