RosieO falls 6th on a list of the thirty most generous celebrities (whose gifts were made publicly, to encourage other wealthy celebs to donate too). O'Donnell donated $5.7 million to Katrina Relief efforts including Renaissance Village (a temporary shelter for Katrina victims), day care centers, a rehabilitation center in San Antonio, and a Habitat for Humanity sub division in Baton Rouge.
Oprah Winfrey, it must be noted, was number one, donating over $50 million to charities.
