Sean Hannity Calls Senator Harry Reid Propagandist For The Enemy

Reported by Ellen - April 23, 2007 -

For someone who likes to fashion himself as a “great American,” Sean Hannity can’t abide an awful lot of his countryman and an awful lot of what his countrymen think. Ignoring the polls coming from FOX News and elsewhere, an out-of-touch Hannity demanded for the second time in as many shows that Harry Reid resign for having the nerve to voice what most Americans think about the Iraq war. With video.

Last night (4/23/07), during Hannity & Colmes, Sean Hannity said, “(Reid) is serving as the propaganda minister, by saying that we lost, for the enemies of our troops. It is a disgrace. He should resign for that.”

Chalk up the First Amendment as another part of America that Hannity doesn’t like. Fortunately for the rest of us, Hannity’s bullyboy instincts are quite out of sync with those of most Americans. In March and April, as he squared off with President Bush over the Iraq war, Reid’s approval ratings have risen. Similarly, a FOX News poll conducted April 17-19 indicates that a majority of Americans approve of Congress setting a date for withdrawal of troops from Iraq (Question 32) and that it is not accurate to compare withdrawal to surrender (Question 34).
