Tell MSNBC: Replace Imus with a Real Rebel

Reported by Judy - April 16, 2007 -

Now that most of the nation knows that MSNBC has gotten rid of Don Imus for his racist and sexist remarks about the Rutgers University basketball team, it's time to get down to the next order of business -- finding a replacement for Imus on the cable news channel. My schedule is full or I'd volunteer to fill in myself. Luckily, I know someone else who would be perfect -- the Young Turk.

Cenk Uygur has hosted a liberal talk radio show in the Los Angeles area that is now available nationwide on Air America, as well as being webcast. Cenk and his crew are funny, energetic, and unafraid as they deliver a liberal take on the gamut of daily events in the nation -- from pop culture to politics. Their slogan: "We don't make the news; we make the news sexier."

Cenk takes his responsibilities as a talk radio host seriously. During confirmation hearings for Justice Sam Alito, Cenk stayed on the air for 99 hours around the clock in an effort to push Senate Democrats to filibuster the nomination.

Cenk also is a frequent contributor to Huffington Post, with thought-provoking posts that poke holes in Republican talking points.

Listen to some of the Young Turks' past shows
and then let MSNBC know that you have a solution to their Imus problem -- simulcast the Young Turks.
