Global Warming - Is It Or Isn't It?

Reported by Donna - January 30, 2007 -

Today on Studio B with Shepard Smith he had two people on to speak about Global Warming. Leave it to Fox to find someone who is still on the 'no alarms yet' side.

Smith spoke with Patrick Michaels from the Cato Institute who said that the news from this report should be that the sea level rise over the next century has gone down in this report from 30 some inches to 26 inches. He said this was the real story and Antartica is gaining ice.

For balance Fox had Joseph Romm from the Center for American Progress who said that this report was really an alarming report. He said that the report had been going on for sometime and was about 2 years out of date and he expected the rise in sea level to be 3, 4 or 5 feet by the end of the century.

He said that the U.S. should take action and hasn't yet. He also said that the new Congress was more intent on doing something about global warming but wasn't sure if the president would sign it.

Comments: Leave it to Fox to have a fair and balanced report on global warming. While most people don't think the jury is still out on global warming, Fox can alsways find someone to support that issue.

I will give them credit for giving Romm more time and letting him talk about the study and the human cause (as much as 90% of the cause) of greenhouse gases.
