Doocy Cleans Up His Plagiarism Act

Reported by Judy - January 3, 2007 -

Does somebody at Fox News read Newshounds? Or did Steve Doocy suddenly have an urge to quote as many newspapers as he could besides The New York Times?

On "Fox and Friends" on Tuesday, Doocy ridiculed the idea of reading The Times and then proceeded to devote three segments of the show to stories taken from the newspaper, including one segment in which he read a line from a page one story in the paper without acknowledging the source.

Wednesday (January 3, 2007) was a different situation entirely.

Doocy and his co-hosts Gretchen Carlson and Andrew Napolitano did not bring up The New York Times at all. Instead, they quoted the New York Daily News, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, and that paragon of journalism, the Globe. Guess Doocy's wife bought groceries and helped him do his program research at the same time.

Anyway, I'd love to know if Doocy arrived at his change of heart on his own or if John Moody, Fox News vice president for news, realized the hypocrisy of ridiculing one of Fox News' key sources for news and addressed the topic in one of his daily missives. Anybody have a copy they'd like to share?
