3,000 US Soldiers Killed in Iraq, 46,880 Left With "Non-Mortal" Injuries

Reported by Melanie - December 31, 2006 -

We end this sad year and embark on a new one by marking a horrific milestone: 3,000 U.S. military personnel have been killed in Iraq as of December 30, 2006. 46,880 military personnel have suffered "non-mortal" injuries. That's a total of 49,880 deaths or injuries suffered by our kids in a war that George W. Bush & Co. lied us into and that had nothing whatsoever to do with 9/11. 31 kids died last week alone while Bush dithered, or whatever the hell he's doing.

And even though we allegedly went to Iraq to, well, one of the many reasons given along the way was to bring democracy to its people because we were so concerned about the sad state of their lives, yet nobody in our government cared to keep track of how many Iraqis were dying. Estimates range between 74,000 and 655,000.

Then there are the "coalition forces" who've sacrificed 250 human beings and the "miscellaneous" humans, like the 12,000 Iraqi policemen who have died.

So many, many dead human beings, all due to the lies of the man sitting in "the people's house" who claims to be acting on our behalf.
