Uniting Christians and Muslims Through the War on Christmas (tm)

Reported by Janie - November 14, 2006 -

November has arrived. The air is crisp, darkness falls early, leaves are changing, or as Scooter Libby put it so eloquently, "Out West, where you vacation, the aspens will already be turning. They turn in clusters, because their roots connect them."

In almost one week, families across the nation will gather with their loved ones to partake in large turkey dinners, enjoy football games, and give thanks for everything we've been given this year (including the Democratic takeover!)

Of course, November also means it's time to strap on our body armor, grab our guns and join the WAR ON CHRISTMAS (tm)! On "Special Report" last night (11/13) substitute host Jim Angle reported that Muslims and Christians can unite, but apparently only when Muslims respect and support Christian values.

"A partnership of Muslims and Christians is denouncing what it describes as efforts to 'de-Christianize British society.' The Christian-Muslim forum says civic officials who remove references to Christianity from Christmas are actually becoming 'recruiting agents for the extreme right.' It cites the removal of the word 'Christmas' from one town's winter festival — and the printing of Christmas stamps with no Christian theme."

Comment: OH NO! Jesus won't be on my stamps this year! I can't believe the British aren't going to pay the "money changers" (the government) for an image of Jesus! Jesus would be ashamed!

Angle continued, "The group says those things provoke antagonism toward Muslims and others by 'foisting on them an anti-Christian agenda they do not hold.' The forum believes Christmas should be celebrated as the birth of Jesus and says the desire to secularize religious festivals is offensive to both the Christian and Muslim communities."

Comment: So it appears the War on Christmas (tm) has gone global this year, and it seems that by Fox's standards the only way to bring together Christians and Muslims is to get them to agree that Christian's rights are being violated because the government isn't issuing special stamps just for them.

Get ready ladies and gentleman, the War on Christmas (tm) is on its way. Forget bombs going off in Baghdad, workers at Target aren't saying Merry Christmas!
