FOX News Trots Out Soon To Be Criminally-Investigated Ann Coulter To Attack John Kerry For His Lack Of Sensitivity And Patriotism

Reported by Ellen - November 3, 2006 -

Ann Coulter moved one step closer to being charged with the felony of voter fraud this week but that fact was never discussed on “We report, you decide” FOX News’ Hannity & Colmes where she appeared for a double segment (11/2/06) designed to smear war veteran and United States senator John Kerry. Coulter was part of an unbalanced panel on Kerry’s “stuck in Iraq” comment that also included Chickenhawk Mark Levin. Levin wasted no time jumping from smearing Kerry to smearing all liberals. Coulter tried to do the same but her invective was severely hampered by a bad case of incoherence. With video and actions suggested.

Alan Colmes told Coulter that President Bush, not Kerry, should be the one to apologize to the troops. “For sending men and women into harm’s way without enough supporting forces, without enough coalition forces, without properly equipped Humvees, with equipment that some of the troops have to buy themselves, how about that apology? Telling the American people that oil would pay for the war, when our taxpayer dollars are spending 1.8 billion dollars a week.”

Coulter was thoroughly flummoxed. Looking vacant (and I’m sorry, but also glassy-eyed) she uttered, “According to Kerry, they’re all a bunch of idiots, anyway.” Then she paused, looking stupid in her “conservative,” tight, lowcut sweater, and tried to cover up her bewilderment by saying, “Yeah, what?”

As Colmes moved on to the lone Democrat, Michael Brown (no, not THAT Michael Brown), Coulter whined, in a slurred voice, that Colmes wasn’t paying enough attention to her.

Colmes answered, “I tried but you said nothing.”

The two-to-one conservative panel wasn’t enough for bullyboy Sean Hannity. He muscled his way into Colmes’ segment and demanded that the still-whining Coulter be allowed to speak. When she squeaked out her answer, it made little sense.

Hannity (who never served in the military) became unhinged during his own segment as he tried to explain to Brown why he knows Kerry’s apology to the troops was not sincere.

Brown told Hannity that “Clearly, (John Kerry) is not that big of an issue.” He added that new polls show that Kerry has had no effect on the upcoming election.

“Who’s talking about polls?” Levin disingenuously asked. Then, obviously reveling in his own cleverness, he went on to say “Every time (the liberals) take over the White House, they do social experiments with the military, they undermine the military, they cut the military’s budget. Why don’t you liberals just admit it? You don’t like the military. It’s all phony when you say you support the troops.

Comment: Why doesn’t FOX News just admit it? It doesn’t like a large chunk of America.

Colmes confronted Levin on his own lack of service. Levin could not answer other than to take a potshot at Colmes:“I’m serving now, sitting next to you.” (The middle-aged Coulter giggled uproariously.) When Colmes pressed, Levin had no decent response other than to accuse Hillary Clinton and John Edwards of not having served, either.

As they headed into the commercial, you could hear the middle-aged Coulter girlishly squealing, probably another of her attempts to flirt with Colmes. In the second segment, she gathered her thoughts a little better. Video of Part 1 below.

One of the sponsors just after the break was Burlington Coat Factory. You can contact them via their webmail about their support for a program that demonizes a large segment of the American population. I’ll post my email to them in the comments.

I also invite veterans (that means you, Woke) to contact Levin and let him know what you think of his brand of “support” for the troops at marklevinshow@abc.com.
