Bill O'Reilly Says He Needs To Deal With Letterman

Reported by Deborah - October 30, 2006 -

Bill O'Reilly visited Big Story today to discuss his appearance on David Letterman's show, 10/27/06, and he told John Gibson that he's angry with Letterman and plans to deal with it tonight on his show. O'Reilly claims that Letterman said he caught him in a lie during a promo and although he doesn't want to do it, he said gravely, "I have to deal with it." 10/30/06

O'Reilly had some wise t-warrior observations to share about Letterman, Rosie O'Donnell, Jon Stewart, and Al Franken."Their hatred of Bush overides their judgement"adding that they think we're bad for being there. Then he claimed that the only reason people are against the war in Iraq is because we're not winning.

O'Reilly drifted into he victim mode saying that Letterman doesn't like him but he doesn't care. He just wanted to show everyone who he was to counter the influence of people like Rosie O'Donnell and Jon Stewart who say we're a bad country influencing the pop culture.

O'Reilly's philosophical mellowness was quickly deteriorating. He told Gibson Letterman had him on for ratings and with a bitter tone speculated that Letterman got calls from Stewart Smalley and Jon Stewart congratulating him.

Regaining his composure he announced that Oprah was his pal and then went on to say that he had to deal with Letterman on his show tonight.

When asked about the election he did not disappoint the faithful. He told Gibson that voters are afraid of Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco values. What a surprise.

comment: This stuff is good for his ratings and good for his book. However, the murky psycho dynamic motivating O'Reilly to label himself as the outsider doing battle with evil, alone and unappreciated, would make a much better read than 'Culture Warrior". Maybe O'Reilly will go into therapy and share his experience.
