Cavuto Celebrates the GOP Under the (Thin) Guise of Celebrating the Stock Market
Reported by Melanie - September 27, 2006 -
Neil Cavuto has said that he has fun graphics and new music to use on the day the Dow matches or surpasses the all-time high of 11,722.98 it hit on January 14, 2000. It almost reached that point today (September 27, 2006) and if today is any indication, the pro-Bush, pro-Republican propaganda on that day is going to be over the top, even for Fox. A read of today's chyrons alone gives you an idea where Fox is headed on this. Forget the economy and the markets - this is about November 7.
A report by Dagen McDowell on how great the economy is: "Dow Takes Stab at New All-Time High"
Roundtable discussion featuring employees of Forbes magazine: "Wall Street & 9/11: Why a New High is More than a Milestone"
Former RNC Chair Ed Gillaspie and Harold Ford, Jr. (D-TN) in a discussion: "Dow Nears All-Time High; Proof Tax Cuts Work?" (Both men (Ford is Fox's kind of Democrat) thought the tax cuts were a good thing.)
Roy Blunt (R-MO) on: "Who Wins on Economy: Democrats or Republicans?" (One guess as to who he thought wins.)
Gregory Warr, a real estate developer: "Home Prices Dropping: Good for America?" (Great for America. Buy now!)
Comment: Expect Fox's in-kind GOP campaign advertising to continue at full throttle until November 7, at which time it will fall slightly to its usual, everyday, maintenance level.
