Hannity Yearns For Clinton Hating Glory Days

Reported by Deborah - September 8, 2006 -

Sean Hannity yearns to return to his glory days as an acclaimed Clinton hater. According to Hannity there is no reason for the "Clintonistas" to ask ABC to change the 9/11 Docudrama or pull it. He came armed for debate on H&C, 9/7, with one quote from Clinton that he kept throwing at Julie Roginsky, Democratic Strategist, while G. Gordon Liddy repeated, "This is not a Michael Moore hit piece." Hannity wouldn't want his loyal viewers to be confused with too many facts so he made sure his message was simple. Clinton had sex with an intern and was responsible for 9/11.

Hannity confronted Roginsky with Clinton's statement in 2002 that he couldn't bring Osama Bin Laden to the US in 1998 because there were no concrete charges against him prompting him to request that the Saudis take him. He proclaimed that this was proof that Clinton had Bin Laden and let him go. In Hannity's uncluttered mind, how could Clinton offer something if he didn't already have it.

Liddy repeated his Michael Moore line twice adding that the film was based on the 9/11 Commission's report. When Colmes confronted Liddy with the factual inaccuracies of the piece, he balked that there were time compressions but acted as if it was no big deal. Liddy, like Hannity, had time tripped back to those heady times when Clinton could be blamed for anything and just the mention of his name fired up the base into an easily manipulated army of hate.

Colmes presented Liddy with the blatant inaccuracies in the film but he seemed to have no need to debate the issue. Instead he faulted Clinton for his concerns about civilian casualties and international law claiming he should have "whacked him" anyway. Why bother with the truth when there was all the old material available.

The segment ended with Liddy blurting, "This is the man that told the country that oral sex wasn't sex!" Alan Colmes thouroughly disgusted snarled back, " Let's go back to the golden oldies."

comment: Everytime we think the Bush propaganda machine won't blind side us again, they stoop a little lower to a level that we didn't think possible. ABC has no problem rewriting history and offering the public a casual and disinterested explanation. The screenwriter freely admitted that he made stuff up.

Sandy Berger did not slam down the phone,” Mr. Nowrasteh said. “That is not in the report. That was not script. But you know when you’re making a movie, a lot of things happen on set that are unscripted. Accidents occur, spontaneous reactions of actors performing a role take place. It’s the job of the filmmaker to say, ‘You know, maybe we can use that.’ ”

Hannity and his hate-mates may be foolishly elated over this ABC hit piece but they can't see whats coming next. Hannity, exalted "great american", is about to lose everything he claims to revere. Does he really think only evil liberals will suffer when our democracy is destroyed?
