Sean Hannity Plays The Politics Of Hate Again - Take Action

Reported by Ellen - August 24, 2006 -

Sean Hannity once again was willing to demonize the majority of his countrymen for political gain. Once again, I ask readers to take action against this un-American behavior on the part of a national television network.

In a Hannity & Colmes (8/23/06) discussion about the Connecticut senate race, Hannity told Professor John Orman, a Lamont supporter, “You are dangerous to the future of this country. You guys are weak on homeland security, you are weak on national defense, you have a pre-9/11 mentality, you are profoundly wrong on the most important issue of our time, terrorism and if you are elected we will be more susceptible and that I will stand on.”

Bob Beckel didn’t address that kind of hate. Instead, he piled on the attacks against Professor Orman for trying to stop Lieberman from running.

I think we must speak out and condemn these kinds of attacks on Americans – after all, the majority of Americans agree with Democrats. One of the sponsors of last night’s show was Office Depot. On their website, Office Depot states, “We approach all opportunities and challenges by respecting the diverse thoughts, beliefs, backgrounds, cultures and energies of all associates, customers and suppliers.” I don’t think Hannity’s hate-speech reflects those values, do you? If you agree with me, you can contact Office Depot at communityrelations@officedepot.com.

I also urge readers to contact FOX News at comments@foxnews.com, hannity@foxnews.com, colmes@foxnews.com.

For those who may wish to contact Visa, another sponsor of the show, you can contact them via their web email.

I'll post my email to Office Depot in the comments.
