Fox Adds Subliminal Seduction to its Campaign for Joe Lieberman

Reported by Melanie - August 21, 2006 -

Approximately 15 minutes into Your World w/Cavuto today (August 21, 2006), Cavuto headed to an ad break by listing several of the topics that were to follow. One of them was a discussion about whether or not it takes "more courage" to be for the Iraq war than to be against it.

Here's what Cavuto said:

And then, John Kerry says that it is courageous to be against the war in Iraq, ah, but does it actually take more guts to support the war in Iraq?

(Cavuto's emphasis.)

While Cavuto spoke, the chyron at the bottom of the screen read, "Who's 'Courageous'?" During the first second (literally), Fox aired video of John Kerry but quickly switched to video of Joe Lieberman surrounded by his wife, campaign supporters, and "Lieberman for Senate" campaign signs, so when Cavuto was talking about it taking "more guts to support the war," Joe Lieberman was front and center.

No, Fox doesn't come right out and endorse candidates but if you read between the lines and the videos and the chyrons and the graphics you can tell who they love.
