Fox News Lives Curious Choice of Words

Reported by Donna - August 7, 2006 -

Today on Fox News Live with Bill Hemmer (12 - 1 p.m.) it was the usual Hezbollah/Israel report except with a twist. Fox lent a new name to a weapon and also spoke about Hezbollah strongholds in absolutes.

What was extremely odd was that Fox referred to an unmanned drone that was shot down by the Israelis as a Suicide Drone perhaps heading to Tel Aviv. Now when the drone decided to become a suicide drone is beyond me - maybe it was hanging out at the Suicide Drone Cafe and got it's marching orders. Perhaps they sensed their error and later referred to the drone as an unmanned vehicle. Whether it was headed for Tel Aviv is another question, this was just suggested by Israel.

The other odd reference was when Hemmer referred to Hezbollah strongholds. Shouldn't he have referred to them as alleged or assumed Hezbollah strongholds? Does he assume everything told to him by Israel is the absolute truth?

Comments: Just wanted to show you the odd wording that Fox uses in its descriptions.
