Outrageous Quote of the Week - Week of July 17th

Reported by Janie - July 24, 2006 -

Bill O'Reilly is now officially a triple-threat, winning his third "Outrageous Quote of the Week". O'Reilly received 45% of the vote for his senseless diatribe against Vermont:

"Now, in Vermont - probably the best place, if you are a child molester you should move to Vermont, and I don't say that lightly..." Bill O'Reilly, "The O'Reilly Factor", 7/13/06

This week's edition focused on one topic, and one topic only: the conflict in Israel. It appears the Fox pundits spent the week vying for the title of "Best War Monger", or possibly "Least Educated". Take a moment to vote for the worst of the worst, below the fold!

Option A: "Israel has very few friends, as you observed: the United States, other English speaking countries... Much of the rest of the world wishes the Holocaust had succeeded." - Lt. Ralph Peters, The O'Reilly Factor, 7/17/06

Option B: "Well, Alan, we've got to do first things first and I think first thing is to make sure that Israel has the ability to prosecute this war to the maximum degree possible. Getting Americans out of Lebanon is important but not as imporant as making sure Israel can do what it needs to do." - Fox Military Analyst Bill Cowan in response to Colmes' question if it isn't ironic that US is speeding up delivery of bombs to Israel at the same time that it's struggling to evacuate Americans from Lebanon, Hanity & Colmes, 7/22/06

Option C: "Isn't peace defined by the ability to defend yourself?" - Sean Hannity, Hannity & Colmes, 7/19/06

Option D: "Well, I think that the actions against the terrorist organizations in Gaza and Lebanon are actually going to increase stability in the region." - Adam Harmon, American who serves in the Israeli Army, discussing the attacks on Gaza and Lebanon, FOX & Friends, 7/19/06

Option E: "I think in the United States we will actually see a rally because Wall Street understands that this is a war on terror and Israel is fighting it, along with the United States. It's what we need to do. It's what we have to do, and we're doing it well." - Brenda Buttner, Cost of Freedom, 7/22/06
