Fox News Live Keeps Up The Republican Bias
Reported by Donna - June 20, 2006
Fox News Live with Bill Hemmer (12 - 1 p.m.) is getting more brazen in it's one sided coverage of the Iraq war. Today he had on Senator Lindsay Graham (R-South Carolina) to talk about the Democrats plan. Of course the words 'cut and run' were used. Lindsay Graham had uncontested time to rail on about how if we set a timetable that the Democrats want it will 'embolden the insurgents.' He repeated this over and over.
The only Democratic input was Bill Hemmer saying that John Kerry called the Republicans plan 'Lie and Die' as a platform for Senator Graham's uncontested speech.
Then Hemmer even had a segment about the 'cut and run' plan and the question was, Is it good for the troops or good for the terrorists? The people represented in this segment included Representative John Kasich (R) who spoke about the cut and run plan of the Democrats (yes, he used the words). He spoke of how there was pressure from Democrats to get out but what the Republicans wanted to do is set benchmarks. The other guest was a man who used to work for the LAPD and British Police (why didn't they just get a Democratic Representative to make it fair and balanced?). He basically agreed with Kasich and said they needed to get the infrastructure going.
Comments: So, there you go, two segments on Iraq from Fox and both of them Republican oriented. Where is the fair and balanced they are always claiming? There was no one to answer for the Democrats so that they could say there is no such thing as a cut and run plan. Even Murtha has a carefully thought out withdrawal from Iraq while having the soliders remain in the area. Fox News Live gets worse each day -- no fair and balanced from them.
