Iraqi Govt - Beginning Of End Of Al Qaeda In Iraq

Reported by Donna - June 15, 2006

Fox News Live started off the show with the statement that the Iraqi Government had said that this was now the beginning of the end of Al Qaeda in Iraq.

The statement was a news statement that should have been reported, but Hemmer insisted on repeating the statement over and over again to guests throughout the show.

He would repeat the statement to guests like an eager Labrador, 'huh, geez, isn't that something, what do you think about that? (paraphrased) He repeated it to Wesley Clark who replied that he hoped it was true.

He repeated it to two Republican guests (Ann Hayes, Michael Barrett) at the end of the show who of course agreed that this is what would happen, this would be the beginning of the end of Al Qaeda in Iraq because of Zarqawi's death and the new Operation Forward Together in Baghdad. Although the Ms. Hayes insisted that the 75,000 troops in Baghdad had been going on for some time now, we just haven't heard about it until now.

Comment: Just as Hemmer did, I'm going to throw it out to our readers. What do you think about the statement made by the Iraqi government -- do you think this is the beginning of the end of Al Qaeda in Iraq?
