Neil Cavuto: A Morally and Ethically "Constipated" Liar
Reported by Melanie - June 10, 2006
Neil Cavuto used Friday's (June 9, 2006) "Common Sense" segment to bash Democrats for not congratulating George Bush on the "good job" done with the killing of Abu Mossad al-Zarqawi. Problem is, as so often is the case with the "moral values" right, he had to lie in order to do it.
He said, "[F]rom Democrats there's barely a good word, if any word at all, for the president. I think Nancy Pelosi more or less said: well, it's about time."
Yet Fox's website hosts video of a report delivered by Major Garrett during Thursday's Special Report w/Brit Hume. In it, Garrett interviewed several people, the first of whom was Nancy Pelosi. She said, "It's really very, very good news this morning. An evil person. He overplayed his hand there, going after a mosque."
It's quite a stretch to translate that into, "it's about time."
Garrett went on to say that, "Zarqawi's death united Pelosi and Texas Republican Tom DeLay as almost nothing else has lately."
Cavuto concluded his "editorial" with, "I just think it's pretty sad, when those who want to carp" about the war and about pulling out, "are so emotionally constipated that they can't get out of the way of their own verbal crap."
Comment: You should talk Neil. You should talk.
