Neil Cavuto Joins the GOP to Perpetuate Retracted Washington Times Lie About Democrats
Reported by Melanie - June 9, 2006
This morning (June 9, 2006), the Washington Times published an article claiming that "some Democrats" said the al-Zarqawi killing was "a stunt." That was a lie. The Times has since changed the language in the article. It now reads, "Some Democrats dismiss air strikes."
The GOP latched onto the Time's original headline and put it on the front page of its website (on the far right (natch), under "Latest Blog Entries"), where it remains to this minute, in its original form.
Today on Your World, Neil Cavuto introduced Sam Brownback (R-KS) for a segment on the al-Zarqawi killing by mentioning the original version of the Times' article, and perpetuating the now-discredited lie that some Democrats called the killing a stunt.
Do you still doubt that Fox News and the GOP are one and the same? We have a category titled, "The RNC Party Line." Now you know why.
