Outrageous Quote of the Week - Week of May 28

Reported by Janie - June 5, 2006

Last week (5/22/06) "Doctor" Megyn Kendall provided her viewers with her prognosis of the Duke rape accuser saying, "You know that – some would argue – is not necessarily a sign of rape so much as a sign of premenstrual syndrome or something like that." Apparently her diagnosis didn't sit too well with our readers, as Kendall received 42% of the vote for last week's Outrageous Quote, taking home the gold!

This week, the usual suspects are back with a few new faces. Take a peek below the fold and let us know who you think should be this weeks recipient of the coveted straight jacket... er, Outrageous Quote of the Week!

Option A: "That is really how the money should be passed out, rather than some welfare program based on something that happened 4 years ago." - Jeff Birnbaum discussing the cuts in terror funding for NYC and DC, Special Report with Brit Hume, 06/01/06

Option B: "In the United States, where the political left will try to make this the symbol of what the Iraqi intervention is all about. They certainly tried that in the Abu Ghraib prison case, which they didn't really achieve it, I mean, even though it was easily the most overplayed and exaggerated story of the decade." - Fred Barnes discussing the Haditha massacre, Special Report with Brit Hume, 06/01/06

Option C: "In Malmédy, as you know, U.S. forces captured SS forces who had their hands in the air and they were unarmed and they shot them down. You know that. That's on the record. Been documented." - Bill O'Reilly smearing American war heros by getting the story reversed twice and then altering the transcript to reflect the accurate facts on Foxnews.com, The O'Reilly Factor, 06/01/06

Option D: "The News Hounds are going to destroy us on that one." - Shepard Smith plugging the News Hounds on Fox, Studio B, 06/01/06

Option E: “You don’t have the moral courage to speak out and say, ‘Jack Murtha, be quiet until this is finished.’ Why?” - Sean Hannity distorting Murtha's position of calling for an investigation into the Haditha massacre, Hannity & Colmes, 05/31/06
