Murdoch launching another "news"paper in US

Reuters is reporting that Rupert Murdoch's London-based Times is launching a US edition on 6/6/06. it will be printed at the same facility as The New York Post and will also be in tabloid-style format.
From the article:
"This is a key moment in the development of The Times as an international media brand," Times editor Robert Thomson said in a statement."We have seen a large increase in our Times Online readership in the U.S. and the appearance of the newspaper on the streets of New York marks the next stage in our print and web expansion."
The U.S. edition of the Times, with a $1 cover price, will join the Financial Times and a weekly edition of the Guardian as British newspapers publishing in the United States.
The Times is the second-best selling "quality" newspaper in Britain, behind its arch-rival the Telegraph, owned by the Barclay brothers.
