David Asman Conveniently Fails To Note Latest Poll Opposing NSA Spying
Reported by Melanie - May 15, 2006
One of the segments today (May 15, 2006) on Your World w/Cavuto was captioned, "Who Will the NSA Leak Help More? GOP or Dems?" and it featured guests Bill Press and Angela McGlowan. (Fox identified McGlowan as a "GOP strategist" but failed to mention that she's also on Fox's payroll.)
Midway through the segment, substitute host David Asman addressed McGlowan:
But, so far Angela, the poll that we have seen, granted it was an overnight poll, but still, the one poll that we've seen on this shows that over 60%, a big majority, believe that this is not spying. That it's not violating Americans' rights.
Wrong again Asman. Asman was referring to a quickie ABC News/Washington Post poll released on Friday. A USA Today/Gallup poll released yesterday showed that by a margin of "51%-43%, those polled disapprove of the program."
