It Must Be Fox - The Democrats Are To Blame For The High Gas Prices

Reported by Donna - April 26, 2006

Just when you think you've heard it all, you hear something even more funny? Shocking? Ridiculous? Today on Fox News Live with Bill Hemmer, (12 - 1 p.m.), they again conentrated on the story that is on everyone's mind these days, the high price of gasoline.

But I really didn't think they'd have the nerve to blame it on the Democrats, but Fox actually managed to find a Republican who said just that.

Fox cut to video of Representative David Dreier (R - California) who said, "If we as Republicans had prevailed and not had Democrats stand in the way on increasing refinery capacity, dealing wth boutique fuels and environmentally sound (Comment: Right) exploration in the Arcttic National Wildlife Refuge using 21st century technology, gasoline prices would be lower today than they are."

Comments: I was speechless the first time I heard this. Then I replayed it over and over because I couldn't believe he actually said this. The Republicans control the White House, the House and the Senate and they are blaming the Democrats because they can't get legislation through?

Uh-uh, no, not gonna happen. This party has ruled for almost 5 1/2 years as a majority - these high gasoline prices? All on them. I can't even believe that Fox had the nerve to air this clip. I was waiting for a big picture of President Bill Clinton to appear and some Republican talk about how the high gasoline prices are all his fault!

Thanks for the laugh Fox - you've turned into a comedy channel.
