Showing FOX News In Your Waiting Room Could Be Bad For Business
Reported by Ellen - April 25, 2006
My 92 year-old great-aunt proudly relayed to me the following anecdote. She was sitting in a doctor’s waiting room when she noticed that a TV in the room was turned to FOX News.
My Aunt Jean is about five feet tall and probably weighs less than a hundred pounds soaking wet. But she is and always has been a commanding figure. When she was finally ushered into the doctor’s office, she asked, “How can you trap us here listening to FOX News?”
The doctor (whose name I will not reveal, in order to protect the guilty) said, “Don’t tell me you’re one of those liberal Democrats.”
“I certainly am,” Aunt Jean said with great dignity. “And if I knew you were one of those Bushies I never would have come here.”
