Fox Airs Whole Illegal Immigration Speech Of President Bush But Not The Question & Answer Session
Reported by Donna - April 24, 2006
Today on Fox News Live with Bill Hemmer (12 - 1 p.m.) Fox carried the entire speech that President Bush gave on illegal immigration, only they referred to it as immigration laws. What really got me was that he kept referring, over and over, to the "jobs that Americans won't do." He said it so much it became like a mantra.
President Bush went on and on about our booming economy and how good our unemployment rate is. He didn't mention all the manufacturing and white collar jobs that are just gone, replaced by low paying service jobs.
Comments: I would really like a list of the jobs that Americans won't do and I'd like to hear some truth about the economy because families are making less than they did when he first took office, so that's not exactly 'booming' to me.
As soon as the speech was finished Fox cut away from the question and answer session (this is what I was waiting to see), so I switched over to MSNBC and CNN to see if they were covering the question and answer session. CNN had it's International News on (which is usually on 12 - 1 p.m.) so they most likely didn't air the speech and MSNBC was airing other news, so I don't know if they aired any of it at all. I just thought it was great that the propoganda channel could bring us the president's speech in whole, but what, were afraid to show the question and answer session?
