Is Sean Hannity toning down his shtick?
Reported by Chrish - April 15, 2006
As noted last Monday, Sean Hannity seemed uncharacteristically subdued (like he was coming down with a cold) but the producers made up for it by having over-the-top Michelle Dallacroce channeling him. Tuesday night he seemed to be under the influence of cold medication, relaxed and low-key yet somehow still obnoxious.
Bob Beckel was talking about the Republican House bill on immigration, noting that like with the Terri Schiavo debacle they've opened a Pandora's Box. He must have hit a nerve because Hannity, prince of sputtering finger-jabbing desk-pounding hyperbole, told his guest in his new laid-back style that he, Beckel, was getting hysterical. Bob's disbelief was quickly replaced with hearty laughter at the sheer absurdity of Hannity calling anyone hysterical.
I found his word choice interesting because the earlier post linked above said that because of Hannity's apparent cold the producers got Dallacroce in "to keep the hysteria level up." Did we strike another nerve, or has the medication made Hysterical Hannity into Sensitive Sean? Whatever it is, give him more.
