Hannity Brags, “I Trap People”
Reported by Ellen - March 12, 2006
In a deferential interview that aired Friday night (3/10/06) on Hannity & Colmes, Sean Hannity, with uncharacteristic restraint, asked CBS News anchor Bob Schieffer about his reaction to John Kerry’s statement on Face The Nation about US troops terrorizing Iraqi civilians - an incident Hannity usually tries to browbeat his guests into condemning.
Schieffer replied, “I must say I was a little bit surprised but, you know I think my job is to ask the questions and let them answer ‘em. I don’t try to argue with our guests. I mean, we don’t very often do – pit one against the other.”
Colmes said, jokingly, “We don’t either.”
Hannity said, “I try to trap people.”
Comment: If anyone is tricked by Hannity, it’s their own fault because he is one of the world’s most predictable “ambushers.” There’s just no excuse for anyone going on his show with an opposing opinion not to be prepared. Sadly, people fall into his trap all the time.
