What’s The Matter, Sean Hannity? Can’t Take The Heat When Bush Is On The Hot Seat?
Reported by Ellen - March 8, 2006
Hannity & Colmes, described by FOXNews.com as “relishing in controversial topics” somehow didn’t see fit to discuss the biggest domestic story right now on Google News and the top story on the FOXNews.com website: The vote by the House Appropriations Committee to block the UAE port deal. Here’s how the LA Times described it:
In a stinging rebuke to President Bush, a lopsided and bipartisan majority of a major House committee voted Wednesday to nullify portions of a deal that would hand operation of U.S. port facilities to a Dubai company.…The committee, long a bastion of support for the Bush White House, passed the prohibition 62 to 2 as part of a bill that includes $68 billion for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and $19 billion for Hurricane Katrina relief. If the full House and the Senate go along, the strategy could force Bush to choose between the port deal and another year of war funding.
That sounds pretty controversial to me but there has not been a single discussion on H&C about the ports issue this week.
