New DeLay movie creating a media ruckus
Reported by Chrish - March 8, 2006
Gotta love Robert Greenwald. The latest movie being distributed by the activist producer/director, The Big Buy: How Tom Delay Stole Congress" was announced this week. It is the work of Mark Birnbaum and Jim Shermbeck, who shot and edited the film over the last three years.
We've witnessed the coverage Tom Delay has received on Fox since his indictment: They've flown him cross country on a private jet for a FOX News Sunday exclusive; they've diminished the charges against him while propping up a frivolous lawsuit to distract; they've offered legal advice.
That cozy relationship may be over. The Houston Chronicle reports that
Dick DeGuerin, DeLay's attorney, said the film offers little in the way of balance."I think it's about as fair and balanced as Michael Moore's stuff or Fox News," he said.
Hmm. How interesting that when DeLay wants good PR he goes to FOX and when he wants good lawyering he goes to someone who sees through it.
H/T to -R for the link.
