Fox Guest - Hopefully It'll Just Be A Couple Of Truck Bombings

Reported by Donna - March 6, 2006

Friday on Studio B with Shepard Smith he spoke with frequent guest, Michael O'Hanlon from the Brookings Institution. They were discussing the threat of a big Al Qaeda attack over in Iraq that has been reported by intelligence sources in order to start a civil war over there.

O'Hanlon actually said that he hoped it wasn't so, he hoped that it was little more than just a couple of truck bombings instead of anything spectacular.

Comments: I don't know if hoping for death, even if it's "just a couple of truck bombings" is a good thing to be hoping for. I think that O'Hanlon is trying to come up for a solution to a sinking ship here. He even went on about getting international help in there. I'm sorry, but didn't John Kerry suggest this almost 2 years ago and didn't he say that President Bush wasn't the one who could bring this about? Does anyone see international help knocking down our doors to help out here? Do you even conceive of this happening?
