Hard News? Jessica Alba's Playboy Cover

Reported by Donna - March 3, 2006

Bill O'Reilly has said that his show isn't 'hard news.' He said if you want hard news you watch Studio B with Shepard Smith. Well, today we got an example of that 'hard news' when Shepard Smith and William La Jeunesse
spoke about the controversy over Jessica Alba's Playboy cover.

The controversy seems to be surrounded around the question that La Jeunesse put to Smith, "If you see a woman on the cover of Playboy do you assume that she's naked inside?"

Apparently Alba's people say that she never gave permission for her picture to be on the cover. Playboy claims they contacted Sony for a publicity photo from one of her movies. Alba's people say that Playboy falsely claimed that they had Alba's permission to get the picture from Sony.

Smith made the point that Playboy was "not exactly a dirty magazine."

Comments: Just wanted to keep you up to date on all the hard hitting news from Fox. I don't think I can stop pondering that question of "if you see a woman on the cover of Playboy do you assume that she's naked inside?" So little time, so much to ponder.
