Hannity & Colmes Misrepresents Colorado Teacher Protest
Reported by Ellen - March 3, 2006
FOX News threw truth to the wind last night in their never-ending zeal to demonize teachers, academia and liberals.
A young student from Colorado appeared to discuss the controversy he started when he taped a geography teacher criticizing President Bush in class. The student's father reported the incident to the principal and the teacher was suspended. The student was a guest last night (3/2/06) on Hannity & Colmes. Sean Hannity hailed him as a hero. Alan Colmes said he thought the teacher was wrong.
Throughout most of the discussion, the following appeared across the bottom of the screen: STUDENTS WALK OUT OF SCHOOL AFTER TEACHER'S RANT.
In fact, the protest was over the teacher's suspension, not the "rant."
Here's a link to the AP story with the details.
