Another Bush lie exposed and documented; what ever will FOX do?

Reported by Chrish - March 2, 2006

Back when New Orleans was fine and Katrina was only on the horizon, before 1,300 Americans died and 2,600 others went missing, when there was still hope that New Orleans would survive, we News Hounds offered our best wishes for the region, opening a thread for comments from readers watching the approaching storm. One comment, posted by regular ET, was particularly frightening because it was an official forecast form the NOAA.

Here's what they're saying on NOAA. Sorry about the all caps - not shouting! - that's the way it came.

AT LEAST ONE HALF OF WELL CONSTRUCTED HOMES WILL HAVE ROOF AND WALL
FAILURE. ALL GABLED ROOFS WILL FAIL...LEAVING THOSE HOMES SEVERELY
DAMAGED OR DESTROYED.

THE MAJORITY OF INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS WILL BECOME NON FUNCTIONAL.
PARTIAL TO COMPLETE WALL AND ROOF FAILURE IS EXPECTED. MANY WOOD
FRAMED LOW RISING APARTMENT BUILDINGS WILL BE DESTROYED. CONCRETE
BLOCK LOW RISE APARTMENTS WILL SUSTAIN MAJOR DAMAGE...INCLUDING SOME
WALL AND ROOF FAILURE.

HIGH RISE OFFICE AND APARTMENT BUILDINGS WILL SWAY DANGEROUSLY...A
FEW POSSIBLY TO THE POINT OF TOTAL COLLAPSE. MANY WINDOWS WILL BLOW
OUT.

AIRBORNE DEBRIS WILL BE WIDESPREAD...AND MAY INCLUDE HEAVY ITEMS SUCH
AS HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES AND EVEN LIGHT VEHICLES. SPORT UTILITY
VEHICLES AND LIGHT TRUCKS WILL BE MOVED. THE BLOWN DEBRIS WILL CREATE
ADDITIONAL DESTRUCTION. PERSONS...PETS...AND LIVESTOCK EXPOSED TO THE
WINDS WILL FACE CERTAIN DEATH IF STRUCK.

POWER OUTAGES MAY LAST FOR WEEKS...AS MANY POWER POLES WILL BE DOWN
AND TRANSFORMERS DESTROYED. WATER SHORTAGES WILL MAKE HUMAN SUFFERING
INCREDIBLE BY MODERN STANDARDS.

THE VAST MAJORITY OF NATIVE TREES WILL BE SNAPPED OR UPROOTED. ONLY
THE HEARTIEST WILL REMAIN STANDING...BUT BE TOTALLY DEFOLIATED.

Holy shit. Posted by: ET PbD at August 29, 2005 04:00 AM

Holy shit indeed.

In the ensuing days we heard from Bush the now infamous words "I don't think anyone anticipated the breach of the levees." Of course that was a lie; you've heard it, you've read it, and now you can watch the video courtesy of the AP . Warning: The White House and the Homeland Security Department caution us to not read too much into this. FOX News appears to echo that sentiment, quel surprise, as Donna Fiducia just read a few sentences in between segments of Cavuto (rerun) that said essentially, nothing new here, move on, nothing to see. The video played in the background for some seconds but there was no sound .

Watch it for yourself; FOX sure won't be making it widely available.
