Ms. Smith (Anna Nicole) Goes to Washington

Reported by Janie - March 1, 2006

Craig Mitnick, Fox News Legal Analyst, appeared on Dayside yesterday to contemplate the Anna Nicole Smith case and explain to the Dayside viewers what it was all about. While actually mentioning the Bush Administration during his summation, he and the hosts of Dayside, neglected to mention the extent the administration is going to, to assist her case.

Mitnick gave a brief, simple explanation of the case, explaining how the federal courts awarded Smith $88 million, and a jury in Texas chose to give her nothing. For most of the segment the Bush Administration was not mentioned, but Mitnick closed with, "The Bush Administration hoped that the Supreme Court today rules in favor of the federal judge and she gets her money, because they want the federal government to be able to have jurisdiction in these matters."

While giving a succinct explanation of the details of the case, and actually mentioning that the Bush administration has a dog in this race, Mitnick and the hosts of Dayside failed to tell the viewers the administration's top Supreme Court lawyer has filed briefs on Smith's behalf, and is actually arguing the case before the Supreme Court.

Guess Fox couldn't have Bush (who ran on bringing "integrity" back to the White House) closely tied to both a porn star AND a stripper.
