RU486 Under Fire On FNC
Reported by Deborah - February 12, 2006
Julie Banderas spoke to Steven Gardner about a report that the RU486 pill, only referred to as the "abortion pill" on FNC, may have been responsible for four cases of fatal toxic shock in California. According to a conservative weekly, Human Events, the dangers of RU486 , which they call a human pesticide, was discussed at a recent meeting of pro life gynocologists and obstetricians.
Gardner claimed that one of the problems is that women are taking the pills vaginally instead of orally which is the recommended method. He told Banderas that there have been 500,000 abortions resulting from the pill noting that it's strange that this cluster of toxic shock cases in California are isolated.
Banderas made the following comment about RU486 at the end of the segment.
" These drugs are dangerous. Let nature take it's course but to take a pill to empty out your uterus......"
She never completed the thought but her look of disgust said it all.
