Per Fox News.com: Legislation to set up a $140 billion fund to pay people sickened by asbestos cleared its first hurdle Tuesday when Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid reversed course and removed his objection to debating it.
Per the Seattle Post Intelligencer: The U.S. Senate should say no to a bailout for asbestos manufacturers. If any industry deserves sweetheart treatment, it's certainly not the companies that have left a trail of health tragedies from Washington state across the country.
