Gibson and O'Reilly wrong on Clooney - really, really wrong
Reported by Chrish - December 31, 2005
Back in October, John Gibson and CNN founder Reese Schoenfeld made some negative remarks and predictions about George Clooney's docudrama about Edward R. Murrow, "Good Night and Good Luck." Bill O'Reilly said Clooney's career was over because of his left-wing views and politics. To say they were a liitle off the mark would be an understatement, and Clooney has the best revenge: success.
When "Good Night and Good Luck" was set to open, Deborah reported that Gibson and Schoenfeld bashed Clooney a bit, and then Schoenfeld predicted the film would have limited viewership.
Bill O'Reilly has had a feud going with Clooney since shortly after the September 11th attacks. Not one ot let go of a grudge, the big BORe had this to say in his New Year's Resolutions column:
We resolve to hold prominent people accountable when they smear others. That simply has to stop. But karma is kicking in. For example, left wing zealot George Clooney ran around smearing me to try to bring attention to his movies this season. It didn't work. Fewer than four million Americans went to see his first film. And the second one is shaping up to be a big box office bomb.
To date the first film, GNGL, has made over $26 million worldwide. The second film, Syriana, has made over $33 million domestically in the five weeks since it opened; it has yet to open internationally.
Additionally, Clooney's received the following Golden Globe nominations:
Best Picture, Good Night and Good Luck
Best Supporting Actor, Syriana
Best Director, Good Night and Good Luck
Best Screenplay, Good Night and Good Luck (with Grant Heslov)
Lest O'Reilly forget, Clooney's enormously popular Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Twelve have made over $800 million worldwide. That's >$800,000,000.00, in language media whores understand.
AND, last but not least, George Clooney looks like THIS:

Clooney 9, O'Reilly Big Fat Zero
