FOX News Pretends Bush Is Not Capitulating To Pressure About Iraq
Reported by Ellen - December 11, 2005
Friday night’s top story on Hannity & Colmes was little more than an excuse to play the latest RNC video and call it news. The ad is a shameless distortion of both the meaning and the intent of comments by John Kerry, Howard Dean and Barbara Boxer criticizing the handling of the Iraq war. Rather than defend the Bush Administration, the RNC took the Democrats’ words out of context, waved a white flag over the screen, and called the video “Retreat and Defeat.” Sean Hannity and FOX News Republican Rehab Beneficiary G. Gordon Liddy tsk-tsked the supposedly hapless Democrats, led by the unfortunate Howard Dean, who are losing at the ballot (conveniently forgetting the last election). Meanwhile, Alan Colmes noted that the Administration is doing exactly what Democrats have been calling for - reducing the number of troops.
