Is Fox Advocating Bill O'Reilly's Enemies List?

Reported by Janie - December 1, 2005

Bill O'Reilly recently listed on his website a portion of his pathetic McCarthy/Nixon-esque "Enemies List". To date, it only includes three outlets: MSNBC, The St. Petersburg Times, and the New York Daily News (the Daily News reported in 2004 that O'Reilly had settled the Andrea Mackris sexual harassment case for between $2 - 10 million, and recently dropped O'Reilly's column - coincidence?).

Was Dayside also been given a copy of this "Enemies List"?

Yesterday (11/30), the hosts of Dayside, Mike Jerrick and Juliet Huddy, were promoting a segment that would be aired later in the show discussing the idea of cable providers offering an "a la carte" menu for cable channels. The hosts hyped the segment this way:

JH: "Hundreds of stations, nothing is ever on. How would you like to pay for only the cable stations that you actually watch. The idea is making a lot of folks nervous. Consumers like it, but is it actually better for you?"

MJ: "So which channels would you all give up? Well, MSNBC, ok, that's number 1!"

Comment: It appears to me, Fox gave out a copy of O'Reilly's list to other shows, as Dayside has decided to start bashing MSNBC as well. I think it's high time to rename "Dayside" to "Echo-chamber".
