Fox Guest Says Arabs "Accept & Expect" Torture
Reported by Melanie - November 28, 2005
In an obvious effort to convince viewers that President Bush and Vice President Cheney speak from a position of superior knowledge when they advocate that the US condone torture, Fox News aired a segment today (November 28, 2005) featuring guest Brigitte Gabriel of the "American Congress for Truth" who supported their position.
Speaking without challenge from host Neil Cavuto, Gabriel, the apparent lone member of the "American Congress for Truth," said that, "Torture is accepted and expected in the Arabic world. A man's honor is defined by how he treats his enemy in order to win the war." Gabriel said the US is "being perceived as a big wuss in the Middle East." She said, "every time we debate amongst each other about how we are treating our enemy, our enemy is treating us as weak, as cowards, as wusses, as a country without a spine. We are known for our technological advancement but we are known as cowards and a pushover in the eyes of our enemy."
Comment: I couldn't believe my ears. Fox News is a poison in our midst.
