Good Democrats and Bad Democrats
Reported by Deborah - November 27, 2005
Kondracke and Barnes finally acknowledged that the 2006 election could result in a substanstial loss for Republicans. Barnes even reported a Gallup poll that had 46% Democratic preference to a 32% Republican. Both expressed a hope that the changes in the Iraq policy might help the Republicans. In the meantime the Boys needed to cheer themselves up by going after some potential Democratic candidates for 2008. 11/26/05
Making a distinction between the good and bad sides of the Democratic Party, Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton were pronounced good because they were not in favor of immediate withdrawl from Iraq.
John Kerry and John Edwards were the bad ones. Kondracke claimed John Kerry was acting like Al Gore lately going off the deep end constantly. " He sort of mentioned the I word." John Edwards got the bad rating because he admitted that he was wrong about Iraq and agrees now with bringing the troops home.
A rumor that Al Gore was considering another run in '08' was reported during the Buzz segment. One of the Boys brushed it aside commenting that now he feels vindicated because of Iraq and global warming adding that there are a number of lefties in the Democratic Party to support him.
comment: I think it's time for Kondracke to drop the Democratic label. Everyone watching Beltway Boys knows that Fred and Mort are on the same side. So since everyone also knows that FOX News is Republican, why not come clean and admit that there is nothing fair and balanced about The Beltway Boys. Maybe Kondracke was a Democrat a long time ago but those days have long passed.
