Hannity Gets His Facts Wrong Again. What's His Problem With The Truth?

Reported by Ellen - November 22, 2005

Last night on Hannity & Colmes, Sean Hannity mis-stated what Congressman John Murtha said last week about pulling the troops out of Iraq.

Referring to Murtha, Hannity said, "It's time to bring the troops home. He said 'it's time for an immediate redeployment.' These are his words."

Actually, those are NOT his words. Here's what Murtha really said:

"My plan calls:

To immediately redeploy U.S. troops consistent with the safety of U.S. forces. (my emphasis)

...

Therefore be it

I) Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in

2) Congress assembled,

3) That:

4) Section 1. The deployment of United States forces in Iraq, by direction of Congress, is

5) hereby terminated and the forces involved are to be redeployed at the earliest practicable

6) date.

Comment: I think it's outrageous that a national network news host can't seem to get his facts straight on nearly any issue he discusses.

Tell Hannity and FOX News that real journalism requires real facts.
